Chuckanut Drive

Last weekend Lisa & Linda & Travis & I took a drive up Chuckanut Drive. If you're not familiar, it runs from roughly Burlington to Bellingham along the coast.

Some basic info: State Route 11, Length: 21 miles.
Drive Time: 35 minutes.
Unless you stop a lot along the way to take pictures! :-)

Otherwise Engaged

So, I haven't updated anything new in a while because quite honestly I haven't been exploring Seattle every weekend like I was at first. The last weekend in September I flew down south and spent the weekend at Disneyland. It is an annual trip a bunch of us make every year, you may have heard about it from me already. If not, suffice it to say that every year there are roughly 15 of us who get a block of rooms for the weekend and laugh and drink and carry on. This year was no exception. This time was also filled with a couple of really cool things -- exceptional experiences like riding in the Lilly Belle, and flag retreat with all of us, and a couple of our group members in particular, celebrating the repeal of DADT.

We stayed in the DVC section of the Grand Californian. Great views of California Adventure!

Two weekends ago I was in Sacramento on business. I went down a day early to hang out with friends. My hotel was very close to the Sacramento River so I got a chance to get some pics one morning before breakfast. (No, it wasn't THAT early. It was Sunday morning. Before breakfast. OK, OK, brunch.)
